Da Bears on hiatus

After 6 years of existence, Da Bears have decided to take a break for the time being while members focus on other life aspects. Ryan Solomon (Vocals/Guitar) posted this statement on his facebook
I'm pretty damn proud of the 5 dudes I've shared the stage with in Da Bears for the past year. I'm bummed that this news is coming out so last minute, but tomorrows show at the Casbah is going to be the last time we all play together for a pretty long time. Garrett's already in Germany, and has plans to start grad school when he returns. Justin landed a sweet promotion at his job and has plans to move to Long Beach next month. EJ is interning at FuelTV and is spending a lot of his time in LA. Trung is working full time trying to become a millionaire by the time he turns 21. Needless to say, I'm not necessarily in a rush to try and replace these people who have become such integral parts of the band any time soon. On that note, I want to encourage as many people as possible to come witness all of us on stage one last time.

As anyone who's followed Da Bears over the years knows, this isn't the end, because there can be no end! Despite not having plans to play shows anytime in the near future, I already have my hands full with recording the next Da Bears full length. After that, I couldn't tell you what comes next. I just want to thank the people who have been so supportive of the project from it's inception, and those who have influenced its existence by helping me bring it to life.

Other things to look out for:
Nature's Kid - LOOPS. I know some people already have their hands on it, but the official release of the album is coming very soon. By that I mean, the album will be available digitally for free, with a music video, and instructions on how to get a hard copy. If you thought no more Da Bears shows meant no more annoying event invites, sadly that probably won't be the case. Nature's Kid "live" is coming into reality for the first time ASAP.

Bear Pack 4 life!

- Ryan

Da Bears ARE currently in the middle of recording a new album. We are working on releasing a Da Bears & D/Wolves 7 inch split in preparation for a full length. It's title, release date and physical format (if any) is unknown.

We've met some amazing people through our Da Bears medium over the past years and would like to thank anyone who ever went to a show, set up a show, let us crash, made us food, drank with us, slept with us, and put up with our general lack of moral decency.
